Geofacts and Activities for the Classroom
Fact-ites provide quick information and activities for busy teachers
Fact-ites are written in plain English with descriptions, explanations, facts and activities suitable for middle school students. The content and questions are aimed at middle school students but the level is not explicit, allowing teachers to use them in a variety of circumstances. Fact-ites are provided in easy to download pdf format printer and photocopy ready.
The GSA is producing and publishing its own Fact-ites but we also invite teachers to submit ideas or actual content and exercises for consideration. All Fact-ites become the property of the GSA but authorship is acknowledged.
Proposals should meet a demonstrated middle school (geoscience) teaching need.
Fact-ites must contain accurate scientific information and be at an appropriate reading level for middle school. Fact-ites must contain appropriate questions or problems and be 1 or 2 A4 pages of information and 1 or 2 A4 pages of questions, problems or research stimuli.

Quizzicles are online interactive geoscience puzzles and quizzes for middle school students

The GSA sponsors Earth Science Australia - for people with an interest in earth science. The Earth Science Australia website provides information for Earth Science enthusiasts and includes free cyber-educational materials and free on-site courses.
